Dead Channel
Look up a horror or cult film and see what scholars have written about it. The literature, the links between films, the book it was adapted from.
Hello — I'm the person who made this. I'm a fan of horror and cult cinema, and I wanted to know more about the films I love, so I built Dead Channel.
Search for a film by title and you'll see how it connects to other films, along with the scholarly writing about it. If the film was adapted from a book, that's shown under the title — open it and you can go straight to somewhere the text can be read or bought. I hope you enjoy using it :)
I also built a foreign-language reader called Lucerna. It handles books in a number of languages and is meant for learning English, French and German — tap a word to look it up, keep notes, build flashcards. If that sounds useful, there's a free trial at lucernaread.com.
Markers
A filled drop means the paper is open access and can be read right away. A hollow drop means it sits behind a paywall. The same two marks are used for source books: filled if the text is free to read, hollow if it isn't.
